Project Cluj

Project Cluj

Cluj was a nice place to be, for a couple of days, but like every Romanian city except Bucharest , very boring for every day living. The people were nice and open, but not very friendly. The first interview was at Tetarom with Viorel Gavrea. He considered all the business problems that he faces in a very decisive and very straight forward manner. It was easy to take photos of him and he enjoyed posing. Afterwards we got to the center of Cluj we took some shots of some beautiful places in the city and of some traffic to show in the Businessweek magazine the “economic explosion” of the city. Next, we met a poet and a business man all in one: Sorin Dan, who had been a little bit stressed out about the photo shooting, but in the end he relaxed, after I told him that we were not a tabloid. Late at night, the city was still and I took a picture of the nice panorama visible from the top of the Cetatuie hill. The second day, early in the morning, we had an interview with John Guery, a very open and smiling business man. He helped me with the photo shooting and he made the session very relaxed. Amusingly enough though, the Nokia P.R. was more stressed about it than him. But in the end, everything turned out fine, and the Nokia people were very friendly. John, a perfect American, wanted some photos for his mom, his biggest fan. After the Nokia session, we left Cluj for Jucu, where the Nokia assembly factory is located. We were not allowed to take shots in the plant, but we decided to make some outdoor pictures to show the improvements that Nokia brought in the area. Later, we found the construction site where the highway begins to take shape. The highway is one of the secrets of the development of the city. iata si articolul scris in Businessweek Tags: Businessweek, Cities, Project...

Jeong Eon Kim CEO Samsung

Mr. Jeon Eon Kim is an interesting man. After a couple of minutes with him, I understood that he was stressed about the photo session. I tried to make the photo session less painful for him and I did it in maximum 20 minutes. After that, he smiled and said: “Thank very much for making it easy!” Tags: Businessweek, CEO, Featured articles, Jeong Eon Kim CEO...

In the first days of Radisson Hotel Romania, the place was already full of foreigners at the new casino and workers finishing latest touches.  Naturally he was stressed yet “business”. He posed relaxed, proving that he could be a good model. After the session, I showed him the pictures and he asked me if I could give him some of them. Varujan Vosganian ex minister of Finance and Economy

Varujan Vosganian ex minister of Finance and Economy

I liked him from the very first minute! Varujan Vosganian is the most peculiar Minister that I ever worked with, until then. He had a piano in his cabinet! He was relaxed and very busy. I didn’t have the time for the lights and for testing cameras and everithing, so I shoot this photo with the first camera in my hands, and than proceeded with lots of editing. I am happy to be the photographer behind such a good picture of this great man. Tags: Businessweek, CEO, Featured articles, Varujan Vosganian ex minister of Finance and...

Rafal Lukawiecki CEO Project Botticelli Ltd

Rafal Lukawiecki CEO Project Botticelli Ltd

Rafal Lukawiecki is a very interesting man. A very happy and joyful kind of man, with a lots of humor. He told me that he is not a millionaire, but a man with lots of money… other peoples money: to loose or to multiply. Once he lost 70 billions but that was just “bad luck”. After the photo session, he asked for my pictures so his mom can have them too. Tags: Businessweek, CEO, Featured articles, Rafal Lukawiecki CEO Project Botticelli...
